Letting go of the "To Do" List

As I sit here with 24 hours left to try and cram in everything on my infamous "To Do" list before my  shoulder surgery on Friday, I realize how the pebbles and sand are just not important. Making sure my golf balls are taken care of is top priority and the other stuff CAN wait.
Our house doesn't have to be in perfect order and there can be some laundry not washed. It will all get finished at some point but tomorrow I am going to have a full day with my precious 2 year old daughter: playing in her kitchen, with her dolls, holding her and enjoying all my motherly duties that are taken for granted.  Once she is in bed, hopefully I can also have a mommy's time out for a relaxing pedicure & YOBE with a great friend.  :)

As a mommy, we are naturally care takers and whether we are stay at home mommies or have a job outside the home, we always seem to make sure everything is perfect for our families without giving it a second thought.  We are the first up and usually the last to go to bed, take little time out for ourselves and are always the go to person for problems. We are Supermoms and Superwomen. Being a mommy is a full-time job, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. Motherhood is positively the greatest, most rewarding and exhausting job  EVER.
